There is money tied to it. In year 1 each owner had to pay $120. Only $90 of each entry was put into the prize pool. The other $30 went towards keeper contracts for the following year (this coming year). So this year it only costs $90 to own a team.
We play through Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
The league salary cap is $120.

Passing yards: 25 yards per 1 point
Passing TD's: 6 points
INT thrown: -3 points
Rushing yards: 10 yards per 1 point
Rushing TD's: 6 points
Reception yards: 10 yards per 1 point
Receptions TD's: 6 points
Return TD's: 6 points
2 point conversions: 2 points
Fumbles lost: -3 points
Offensive fumble return for a TD: 6 points
Pick 6: -6 points
FG's: 3 points
FG of 50+ yards: 4 points
