It's a system play of mine that will have me backing both Chile and Switzerland NOT TO LOSE. Each winner pays around +650 and a draw pays +350. neither favorite for has made me believe they are invincible. This is merely a play for the odds considering those factors and generally I feel I will hit at least 1 of these outcomes. I'm a big fan of betting NTL.
Any thoughts?

Chile has a good chance of defeating Brazil; as for the other match, Argentina is more likely to defeat Switzerland, but it isn't impossible for the opposite to happen.
I would go for a straight bet for Chile and use your system for the other match.

fading them both on the long term. Not sure about first games, but I don't think either team will win it. Holland, France, Germany, Mexico are my horses. Sucks that holland/mexico play right away when there's junk games like CRC vs Greece smh

I have been fading Brazil and Argentina since before the tournament, and nothing I've seen yet has changed my mind.
As for how to play this, I prefer Champ's longer-term approach. Both BRA and ARG are likely to face much more fearsome opponents in Colombia and Belgium at the quarter-finals. Brazil and Argentina to not make the semis are both around +150, or > +500 if you parlay the two.
If you like specifically Chile against Brazil, then I agree with sethm that the greatest value here requires the huevos to take them to win. Chile's side is very hot-or-cold and Brazil's defense has the potential to melt down. I could even say Chile wining 3-1 if they manage to score early. It probably won't happen, but +650 is a gift.
Since you said you like betting not-to-lose, Chile+1 at -110 also looks juicy. This is essentially a statement that NTL is more likely than Brazilian blowout (by 2 or more), with the +1 ensuring that you don't lose if the statistically most likely outcome, Brazil by 1, is the eventual result.

You do realise it will be basically a home game for the rest of the tournament for both teams aforementioned? Both heam teams have historically kicked arse in the World Cup especially Brazil. And Messi is near top of his form. When it gets down to nuts and bolts, I would advise against fading Brazil and Argentina. I would be amazed if either of them lost in the next 2 days. Stranger things have happened but not many. Draws and extra time are a different story, but once again I'd be surprised if both teams don't win comfortably by at least 1 goal.

I want to fade Brazil but they haven't lost on home soil since 1975. That's pretty scary to go against.
At some point this meant to be broken. All trends are. They don't last forever. Both teams are juggernauts but again do not seem as dominant as they should be. I placed small unit plays on the outcomes see what happens.

The fact that one already hit makes the odds of the other that much more unlikely. In this game Argentina's talent level and familiarity is difficult to overcome. either way this system will produce a profit, I'm not nearly as confident in this play so I trimmed the amount by 25%. Not getting greedy here. This is strictly because Argentina struggled so mightily vs. Iran if all teams and that Shaq is coming off a huge game and the Swiss boys are in stride. I hope it's a. Good match and I wish everyone luck so long as your interests font conflict with mine.
