I am NEVER comfortable betting England, because well they are England. Add to the fact that they are playing a South American team in South America and the Uruguay +1 @ -1.35 looks tempting.

Still in qualifying Uruguay did not impress me. They only qualified via a two legged playoff and I was surprised the amount of love they got before the tournament. I played Italy to Qualify knowing the other three could not be counted on.

Back to this game and Uruguay are struggling. Suarez is not fit and this looks a last throw of the dice. They have there captain out injured and another player suspended. Sebastian Coates could be playing tomorrow and if that is the case I can't see how Uruguay can keep up.

The temptation is to play the over since both teams have to win and both are bad defensively, but the play for me will be England +115. As bad as they are I think they are the better team right now.

Everyone is writing off Uruguay because of how bad we played against Costa Rica/because of how well England looked attacking Italy. I'll admit that without Suarez they looked horrible but he's back now and he will make a big difference. How will he make a difference? Let me explain. Uruguays style of play is to sit back, defend together and then break on the counter. We're not a very good possession team because we lack creativity in the middle but we have a mid field that will fight for 90 mins and play their hearts out. Now that Suarez is back we have someone with more pace than Forlan to join the counter attack with Cavani. England will throw everything at Uruguay with all the attack minded players they are fielding but I believe this will leave them vulnerable in their defensive end. Some may argue that our captain Lugano is out and that we're cooked now but I believe this "injury" is a plus for Uruguay as well. Sterling and all the other speedy attackers for England would have ate Lugano for breakfast because of his lack of speed. I believe this match will be close but the play should be Uuguay +.5 -135. I've watched many Uruguay games before and I know they play their best when they have their backs against the wall.
