Only if the one in Qatar gets moved otherwise you would have 2 of the next 3 world cups being hosted by the Asian Football Confederation.

Qatar has a great chance of getting moved with the shady underhanded bribes it took to get it in the first place. Add to it the potential political unrest and I think FIFA probably has a backup location. Now where should that location be? Since we&#x2019;ve already had Africa, South America, Asia and North America will be 2026, that leaves Europe who haven&#x2019;t had one since 2006. Which country should be an emergency host? IMO it should be Spain, they&#x2019;ve already hosted before, have the infrastructure in place already and have a passionate fan base.

&#xA;Do some research, 77 % of Russia is in Asia. It&#x27;s considered a Eurasian country. Maybe if this was the old Soviet Union there might have been more of an argument, but even then 60 % would still be in Asia.

I did a little bit of research on this and the two confederations that are not eligible for the 2030 tournament are Concacaf and AFC. That being said there has been talk that a joint North/South Korea bid could be in the works which would mean that FIFA would half to adjust their rules.

I would say the favorite for 2030 would be Uruguay who are planning to bid as it coincides with the 100th anniversary of the 1st World Cup in 1930 which was hosted by Uruguay. I believe Uruguay is looking at a joint bid with Argentina.

Other potential bidders for 2030 outside of the above are a joint U.K. bid and a Morocco/Tunisia/Algeria joint bid.

If Qatar falls through than I believe that tournament would go to a country in UEFA that has all the infrastructure in place. Maybe England, Spain, Germany, Italy,? Who knows. If this happens than there would be a trickle down affect for the 2030 bids.

It's hard to see FIFA not going back to Uruguay for 2030 given the historical significance. Think back to when Athens won the 2004 Olympics. Same idea imo.
