Well, I have absolutely no problems training for running, but it's been forever since I've actually worked out from the waist up.
For about 1-2 months, I was doing 100-150 pushups with those little things with handles that make pushups more ergonomically comfortable. Stopped for a month. Been prescribed cyioponate (sp?) roids, so I figure I'd take advantage of it .
Can always train myself to run 10+ a day later....Wamt to do a marathon by Summer, so I have to start training by at least X-Mas. $OC$ gave some great suggestions for training distance.
Anyway, has anyone ever felt pain/soreness right under their lowest ribs. The pushups are getting my abs tight as hell, since I do tghem the proper way, and arms doing ok (bigger). Oh yeah, my chest is sore as shit. I guess my whole torso is sore....
Any ideas?
Get dumbells, figure a couple 25 lb-ers, and a curlbar. can't recall where I lost my other one.
Suggestions?
I'm so sore, I have to get up from a laying down position sideways.
Yeah, I used to work out, so any sincere suggestions, I'll be litterate about it.......
Thanks guys.......Can't help thinking that I probably need a trainer. Taking protein powder and "super food".
Wish one of the "fit" guys where down here near me in Sarasota......

Dude, the 25lb-ers, and doing the gas powered log method is one that works.
I've gotta go less and with a curl bar with (I can't recall how much weight)...and do the grab the bar and raise , arms straight out, up to just above the head. I racall that building your shoulders quick as heck.
Sugar, I saw your note and just getting to it.........

Dude what is your recovery time? That's some serious work on that muscle group. If you are doing those every day, maybe try every other day. I reached a plateau but once I gave each muscle group two days recovery time that seemed to get me results again. Just a thought.

Sugar, I can't do that every day and three rereps. You know y one where you have your arms out and spread them all the way out like a butterfly? I couldn't do those ith 25lbs right now. No way. No remotely afraid to admit it.
I need another excurl bar, because you can do alot with that. One I really like is putting biut hands about a foot apart and slowly lifting (I can't recall how much weight) hold the bar at your waist, and slowly raise the bar arms outstretched, but do it slow. Great for your shoulders for one thingbamong others,,,,,,,,,.
Thats all I can type now. Talk at ya in a few.
See ya Sugsar Ray......
