Just thought of this from the baked potato thread. If you quote/unquote "enjoy" a steak "Well Done", then you appreciate the finer points of dehydration and "Jerky" style meats.
Here's a tip, whenever you order a steak from a restaurant - I don't care where it is or how much you're paying for it, order "Medium Rare". Because by the time it hits your table, it's "Medium", the juices have gone back into the steak, and it's perfect........
You're Welcome........

I'm going to go ahead and assume you also dump half a bottle of A1 sauce over your "steak". If this is the case, you're not eating a steak. You're "enjoying" what I refer to as burrito filling, or leftover meat for hangover hash ingredients.
A finely cooked steak needs no sauce or any other gimmicky condiment. You simply let it come to room temp, S&P it, then grill it or you can do the pan fry thing with a pat of butter, and you NEVER EVER EVER cook it past medium. You would be disrespecting the steer if you did.....

If you eat at finer steak houses. Order it Black And Blue .. that is how men of men eat it .. The steak comes out still chewing on hay...
ehhhhh, "Pittsburgh Rare" - is a little too rare for me. Although I do enjoy getting like a peppercorn encrusted steak when it's got that kind of burnt crust on the outside, but nice and medium rare on the inside.....
But like steak tartare? Carpaccio? Or I've even seen "beef sashimi" served on like a salt rock? No thanks. I don't need a tapeworm, thank you.....
