WOW. Very special day. Those kids will remember that day for the rest of their lives.
Here's a White guy that took a Black family (that he doesn't even really know) out for a day of crabbing then invites them into his home for the feast.
OUTSTANDING!!!
And THAT'S how misconceptions are reformed in this country. If inner city kids could only experience that early in life and continue to see that there really is a better way we could move mountains.

It starts with SIMPLE things. I had to go out this afternoon to pick up a few things at the grocery store. Sure, I could have gone to Walmart (Corporate Fukks™) but I prefer to patronize the other store on the Hartford, CT line that is struggling. It attracts patrons from the South end of Hartford. Mostly Spanish and Blacks. And most times I am the only White dude in the store.
So I park and walk up to the store and there is Black woman about 40 just coming out of the store who was practically crying because she forgot to buy two plastic sacks for her groceries. She asked me to please watch her carriage so she could go get the plastic sacks.
She only took a minute to get back. In the meantime I noticed she had several frozen items including ice cream that were beginning to melt. She said thanks and began to load her two bags. I said, "Where's your car?". She said, "I don't have one. I live right up there" and pointed. "It's only about a ten minute walk", she says.
I said to her, "Come to my car and I'll give you a quick ride". She asked if she "was Blessed today because it was Easter Sunday?" I answered "You might be. I really don't know. I'm really not a religious person. I just like to lend people a helping hand when they are in distress. And you look like you could really use some help."
So she climbed into my Mercedes and was immediately in awe. "Wow, what a nice car" she said. "Don't be overly impressed. This car is 7 years old", I said. She was home in no time, thanked me and I left her at her sister's house with the sister wondering WTF is going on with my sister with a White guy getting out of a Mercedes with her groceries.
VERY SIMPLE THINGS that bring us together as people rather than rip us apart as the Corporate Fukks™ and Politicians and Media want to do. Divide and Conquer. Not on my watch Covers brothers and sisters. We MUST hang together. Otherwise we will surely hang alone.

Who moved this Thread to "Food and Fitness" from General Discussion??? Please put back in GD where it belongs!!!
Goose-Thanks for the kind words and the comment and story that you shared as well. It is my opinion that racism only exists in your mind if you let it live there. Sadly too, many of the videos like the one's posted have been moved here. I don't know if it's a moderator move or someone complains. I try and share as many good videos as possible. Once again, thanks for the support.
