Preheat oven to 375’. Put rice into bottom of pan with seasoning. Add French onion soup and 1 ½ cans of water and mix together. Put chicken in to pan with carrots. Mix cream of mushroom soup with 1 can of milk stirring until blended thoroughly. Pour contents over the top of the dish, season and cook 1 ½ hours.

It's basically a white base that you can go anywhere with and you can make it as thick or thin as you like and add anything you want. Good for casseroles, your mac and cheese, any kind of cheese sauce, etc. Is very quick and easy, tastes better, and better for you.
For the mushroom flavor, you can saute the shrooms in the butter before you add the flour. Can really add any type of flavor you like.
Another option is to just use cream. Can put garlic, shallots, in there as well.
