I have one question about energy drinks. I have heard and read they increase metabolism. Is this really true? I am trying to figure if the added "bloat" from the carbonation is worth it if it helps with metabolism. I do not lift for a workout, only cardio.
Are energy drinks good while on a diet?

Energy drinks speed up your metabolic rate (the amount of energy expended in a given time) through stimulants such as caffeine. The downfall is that there also loaded with simple sugars and additives
I'd suggest sticking to coffee or buying Caffeine pills
