For most people, it is easier to cut those two food groups out than other food groops..... like meat, or dairy or something. Most everybody can go without sugar but cutting out meat would be rough.

if you look into that website i posted and do some research into the paleo diet, they say meats are fine. i like desserts too but i just try to limit them and then stay away from other carbs. no need to drink any of these sugra drinks or eat a lot of bread, etc.

Any diet is better than eating sweets. It's empty calories. Meat has nutrients.
I can't go 36 hours without craving meat. Can go 6 months without noticing sugar. Your body just doesn't need it.
