Nashville and St Louis places to eat (BBQ)

Question

So I am leaving with two buddies the day after turkey day and we are taking a roadie from Michigan down to Nashville for a weekend, up to Indy for the Sunday night game for a night, then over to St Louis for a couple days to do bbq and visit the Bud brewery and just be guys for 5 days.

Anyway, was curious if anyone here is familiar with the BBQ in Nashville and St. Louis and where the best one's are, escpecially for ribs. Really dont want to eat at a place that is just ok while on a trip that i wont take for many many more years if ever again.

well had jacks bbq in downtown nashville, never had better ribs in my life.  also went to pappys in st. louis, but jacks ribs blew em away.  never had ribs i could eat without using sauce.  excellent.
