Dont do it beyond 6 months...by then you should have hit your weight loss goals...to come off it, eliminate all the oils, animal meats, dairy & eggs...and eat everything else you enjoyed during your weight loss journey.

I wouldn't strive for a Keto based diet. You can have a similar effect with any low-carb diet without worrying about dropping out of Ketosis. I could go deeper into the subject if you like.
