this won't replace the smoothie i have each weekday morning but will be a nice change of pace for the weekends.
i was always a huge fan of mint chocolate chip ice cream and then i had something similar in a health food store the other day so i'm going to try and recreate it. it doesn't seem too complicated.
i suspect these are the ingredients, i'll just need to figure out the quantities
fresh mint leaves cocoa nibs milk (coconut milk for me) banana (probably just use a half) fresh spinach
they probably added some agave syrup but i probably won't most of the time.

boberts, i looked at the ingredients for one of the smoothies- greenberry. the green one. i have a few responses.
1. i don't know what a lot of those super greens are. i've heard of most of them but i haven't done much reading about them. i haven't heard anything bad about any of them. as for the super greens, probably the best thing to do is to do some research on each one.
2. ti'm not clear on one aspect of the super greens. i would expect barley grass and wheat grass to have gluten in it but on the left, it says the shake is gluten free. assuming it is gluten free, the super greens look good as far as i can tell.
3. the fruits looks fine however, by necessity, they all come in powder form. i wonder if you lose some of the nutrients by ingesting the fruit in that form as opposed to in their natural state.
4. as for the herbs, again, i've heard of most of them but don't know enough to really say.
5. the probiotics look good. i take a probiotic every day.
6. the digestive enzyme blend looks good. i think everyone should have green tea, or at least the extract, as much as possible.
6. the sugar content isn't bad. you see they add stevia to the mixture. some say stevia is better than cane sugar. maybe it is, i'm not sure it makes a huge difference at these levels.
the bottom line is it looks pretty good to me. they definitely have the right idea. there is sugar here but it's hard to cut out sugar completely and i'm sure it will taste better with the sugar. watch what you mix it with. i don't like using water but that's probably the healthiest. i'd use a low sugar coconut milk, but if you go with some other milk product, watch the sugar. some of those almond milks are pretty high in sugar.
if you try it, let us know.
