Our friends at the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) launched bettersportsbetting.ca this week to ask Canadians to show their support for the Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act, Bill C218.
We wanted to share this news as the CGA works to build a conversation for better sports betting and keeping the pressure on the Senate in Ottawa to pass C218 in a timely manner.
Visit bettersportsbetting.ca today and share your thoughts on safe and regulated sports betting in Canada.
Thanks,
Colin.

Thx! I was wondering when someone would post about this very important topic.
My bona fides are that I was the second person in all of Canada to have an offshore account back in the 80's...Back when you "called' it in..
Of course I went to Vegas as much as possible in those days and I always did well..( No internet back then made it easier for a player imo)
Those were the days at the Stardust - I was there the weekend when they went from chalk to "electronic" and I still remember old-timers bitching about it ! lol
Anyways - bingo guys can bingo. Casino guys can casino and literally everyone else can bet legally on anything they want. Except me because of 1920's antiquated laws..
Needless to say I'm on board! Just a heads up to anyone who stumbles into this thread - I've been encouraging Kevin Waugh by Twitter over this and I encourage others to contact him for support as well...

bet365 is refusing to honor future bets placed on nba/nhl/ncaab, for ppl in ontario. they are forcing their ontario clients to either buy out of the bets by April 4th or they are going to void the bet. I currently have a 'duke to win' ncaab future and they are refusing to let this bet play out. I placed bet at odds of +1400, Duke is now +160, they are offering me a small buy out as my only option.
This is how bet365 is going to enter ontario, legally? by completely screwing over the players like myself who played in "grey" market with them for past 15+ years.

Unfortunately this is an issue involving all grey markets looking to become legal in Ontario. It benefits people with losing futures but, like in your case, is a drawback for possible winning futures.
Here’s a tracker we have published with the sole purpose of tracking what all sports books are doing when it comes to voiding all futures made by Ontarians or in Ontario before April 3 11:59 pm.

with all due respect, they booked ncaab/nba/nhl futures from Ontario clients knowing none of these events would be completed by April 3rd, 23:59. If you're future lost (like my purdue to win bet), they kept my money, if you're future is still alive (duke bet), they are not offering full pay out. That is unethical practice.
