i made this post on the SBR forums, but they deleted it in about half a day. seems any negativty towards top books is being deleted. i noticed about four 5dimes threads and two bet365 threads were removed just over the weekend.
fortunately, i saved my post, so i'm just going to copy word for word what i had there..
a couple months ago i made a check withdrawal from them, around mid 4 digits. a few weeks later i get an email saying the check will bounce, the money is back in my account, i have to re-do the withdrawal, etc. no free play for the trouble, no mention of covering the bank fee for the bounce. just a script "sorry for the inconvenience" type line.
so, whatever. i re-do the withdrawal and leave them a little note about how since the first one bounced, i hope they at least waive the fee for this one. nope. they still take it out. kind of annoyed now, but again, whatever.
afterwards i hit them up for their 'on the house' promotion. after the first check (the bounce) i made a lot of deposits. and they tell me NO. i have to pay back the last withdrawal i just made. so i explain to them.. that latest withdrawal was just a re-do from their mistake of the bounced check. the real withdrawal was from a few weeks back. they still say NO.
i figure, these people just handle the basic crap, so i request that my issue is looked over by a manager. still, they say NO. and then have the balls to say i should have requested the bonus when they gave me the bounced money back. i mean, HOW FU#$@$ STUPID IS THAT? the whole point of the bonus is you lose your money 7 times in a row and they cover your next 2. why would i request it with a mid 4 digit balance? and even if i did, the first thing they would see is that balance and then tell me i wouldn't qualify because "you have to be at zero."
before i stop playing period, i decide to make one final request. maybe i can explain it better how they can't change my withdrawal date and erase my deposit history just because their check bounced. i put it together nicely, stressed how i've been a member for a long time, the money i spend, etc. told them the bonus should have been awarded as a courtesy, just based on the fact their check bounced. nevermind the fact i actually do qualify for it. told them it was an odd situation with no real guidelines, and it was impossible for me to know the exact moment to request the bonus. and so on.
answer? management still says NO. so i said, tell management they can suck my f'in #@$@ then. and thanked the messenger. in my opinion, they pulled some dirty crap. it's just a silly bonus, but still one that i'm entitled to, no matter how small. it especially felt disrespectful to keep presenting all the facts just to basically be told "f you, you're not getting it" multiple times.
and at the time, i think i deposited and lost more than double what my withdrawal amount wound up being. still not enough because they changed the dates based on their bounced check screwup. whatever, just... whatever. you're all big boys and you'll play wherever you want for your own reasons, but i wanted to let you guys know.
if you use them, and go for the checks, watch out. like everywhere else, they certainly can bounce (unintentional or not.) and if it happens, don't expect anything other than a worthless apology. their approach to the bank fee with the bounce is sickening. it should be an automatic to include the line "let us know how much the fee is so we can cover it" when they tell you it's bounced. instead it's almost like "if we aren't pressed to pay, why should we?" they dodged that question/comment every single time i mentioned it.
