Banned from western union?

Question

Hey guys, this is my first post on these forums..anyway, last week western union denied my transaction and told me I' wont be able to use their services again. My question is is there anyway to get removed from their blacklist so I'm able to use western union again. I'm not even talkin for sports betting, but regular uses like sending and receiving money to and from family...this is ridiculous.

just use a different phone number(thats how western union looks up your info) and add your middle name.. for example.. if you were sending under john smith.. now send it under john p smith.. you will be fine

i have lots of experience with wu but not with getting banned.  i have used them for years upon years and nothing.  what is the reason they gave you?

I always put add my middle initial, but they never put it(i doesnt show on the receipt). Should I tell them to make sure to add the middle initial? And are you sure they look up your info based on phone number? They said my name was banned...not my phone number tho. I dont have another phone number to use tho. Or would I be okay using a random one? Also how would I go about receiving money? There&#x27;s no phone number or anything to look up, it&#x27;s based only on the receivers name. [/Quote]Thats the thing I&#x27;m arguing with them about...they didnt give me a reason. Just that they monitor the use of their customers and came to a business decision.

when western union looks you up... they look you up using your phone number.. so new phone number means you basically have a new account with western union... what i did was use my phone number but make it off by one number... for example if your number is 432 217 7777 make it 432 217 7778..

i would tell them to use your middle initial from now on make sure they put it in.. tell them thats how the reciever needs to pick it up and when books send you money ask them to add your middle inital also.

there are plenty of ways around it you just have to be creative.. any other questions feel free to ask

Hopefully they didnt ban me with my middle initial included because then it would make receiving money impossible. And cool, I&#x27;ll just slightly alter the number like you said. Hopefully this works man, you just brought new life to me haha.  So if I use my exact same name, same address, but alter the phone number, I&#x27;ll be fine? The only thing I&#x27;m having hard time understanding is if they look you up using the number, how would I not be able to receive money, because when receiving money, they dont ask for the phone number.

You can also just adjust your name a bit. For example if your name is Tom use Tommy. Also if you have a book send you money have them send it to another town. An example is have them send it to Towson, MD instead of Baltimore. You can still pick the money up anywhere in the state you are in or a connecting state.

Also, woodsy's advice on changing the phone # is spot on.

And all this info is tied to a phone number?

I know they were trying to help but you should never use a phone number you don't have access to with WU. Reason is, they will need you to call from that number or call you back at that number if there is an issue with a transaction. If the sender can't be contacted at the phone number on the form it is much more than possible you could lose money on the WU "Black Hole."

Send using a fake name and even address but list the phone preferably cell number of a friend or family member that lives close.

I know someone who works for WU and she told me to change your name around a little. They do use a phone number to verify you ID but the name is used in as a secondary ID. So if your name is David Smith you can use Davey, Dave, David K, David Smith Jr or Daisy Smith. Also, when giving a phone number don&#x27;t make one up use a phone number at a big business or law office so if they check the number it will get picked up by a real person or a voice mail. You would have to call that number to see how their phones are answerd. Good Luck
