Similar thing happened to me in March with them too and I had a LOT of money in there I was trying to withdraw in wake of the pandemic.
But, try to stay calm and patient and it should all work out. It did for me, though it took 9 weeks. So calm and patient is key. You can likely expect to have to contact back & forth a bit, possibly last a couple weeks or more. Just try to relax.
First, you need to decide if you wish to remain a client (with betting account) OR you wish to get your money back and cancel.
Either way,
write a very FRIENDLY (almost apologetic) but BRIEF letter explaining how there has been an "inadvertent error" - explain briefly the timeline and what happened - and ask politely what is your next step to either reopen a legal account or get your funds back (whichever you have decided)
Whatever you do DO NOT suggest *THEY* are in error! (even though they are) DON'T! Bad idea!!
Instead, be humble. Even suggest you "may not have understood something and are seeking clarification, please"
Ask a friend to proof read your letter to be absolutely 1,000,000% certain there is no conceivable way your letter could possibly be viewed as "hostile" or "angry" or "suspicious" or "accusatory"
COPY & paste that letter in a text file on your desktop, because you are going to send it a second time in exactly 3 hours (because then, 2 different customer service reps will investigate. I actually had 4)
Do a print screen of that letter as well as the email sent and any emailed replies. YOU NEED A PAPER TRAIL just in case.
Send your very polite email. Wait 3 hours and send again if your upcoming CHAT doesn't resolve things!
After sending that polite email, immediately go to the Bet365 site, the help link, the contact link, and finally the OPEN CHAT link, and open a chat. You don't have to be a memeber or logged in to do this CHAT. Try as a NEW MEMBER first and discuss with that agent...VERY POLITELY. Yes, you have right to be upset, but DON'T EVER SHOW IT or it is gonzo alonzo for sure!
If no resolution, you can try again after an hour with a different "CHAT" agent. Believe me, they do NOT all follow the same script. Find a sympathetic agent -- don't push or rush them, ever -- and in time it will work. Be prepared to wait days or even weeks to get your money back. Or it might all resolve in 15 minutes!!!
After I had waited 2 weeks to get my money withdrawal and it didn't arrive (should've been only 3 days) I was polite and just inquired what happened and what if there was anything I needed to do. Two different agents said they would get back to me asap. A few hours later I was logged out, and unable to log in! I panicked! I thought I was being stiffed!!!
WRONG. Technical glitch tht THEY were not aware of until I *politely* brought it to their attention, then my account was reactivated.....I still had to wait 6 more weeks to get my money, but I wasn't locked out anymore.
