Can somebody please explain to a dummy exactly how this works. Cliff notes. I know you set up a wallet which connects direct to your bank account. What do you do once you have a wallet loaded? Don't you have to then transfer it somewhere else, like to Coinbase or something? Then what? How do you then get it into the sportsbooks? Do you have to call the book to process it? And are there fees to then move the money back out? Are there fees to deposit? This whole buying and selling thing seems complicated. It can't be that complicated.

I just started using Coinbase about 2 months ago and was reluctant at first and it seemed confusing. I may not be the best at explaining, but here is how I do it and my experience.....and I use Heritage Sports.
1) you setup an account with Coinbase. There are other wallets, but this one gets the best reviews and was easy for me.
2) Deposit using a credit card and/or checking account. I use both, but started with just credit card. If you deposit larger amounts you will need to use checking account as the credit card is limited for awhile.
3) I use the iphone app 99% of the time, but thats just my preferance. To deposit, I click on BUY and enter the amount...it converts the dollar amount for me so I don't have to worry about using a conversion math equation that would make my eyes cross.
4) I then choose if I want to buy using my credit card or checking account.
5) The money goes in my Bitcoin account in less than 3 minutes.
6) I go to Heritage site and request their receiving address. I copy that address.
7) I then go to my Bitcoin account and click on the upper right arrow for sending. I enter the dollar amount I want to send and click send. Then I paste the receiving address from Heritage and click send again.
8) Its in my Heritage account in less than 15 minutes.
Never had a problem and payouts are even easier.

So you just go straight from checking account to coinbase to the books? Aren't you suppose to do another wallet after coinbase before going into the book? And why do people do that?

I may have confused you. I used Coinbase which is a walled for Bitcoin. I'm not sure why people do the other wallet as Bitcoin has all of it for me.
As an example, I did a payout today. Coinbase allows me to do a withdraw from Heritage Sports right to Coinbase and I see my money there. Then I do a withdraw from Coinbase to my checking account and recieved a notification instantly that I will see it in my bank account in 2 days.
I would suggest starting with a smaller amount until you are comfortable, that's what I did. Now its very easy.

Also, keep in mind that going from Checking Account to Coinbase takes about 5 days.....going from Credit Card/Debit Card takes about 10 minutes, but the weekly limit for checking is about $3000 and Credit/Debit is about $300

$300 weekly limit using a CC?? F that. I just want to make one large deposit. Like $2000. So I would have to use checking account. But maybe I should practice first doing $100 out of a credit card just to get used to the process? You have to wait 5 days for a checking deposit to hit coinbase? Jesus. That sucks.

I use checking account for any deposits, but thankfully I haven't had to. But I tested the CC option as well for deposits AND withdraw. I just did a large withdraw, it goes right into my wallet and then I deposit right into my bank account and was there in 2 days without any problem.
My weekly checking deposit limit with Coinbase is $10,000 but it does take about 5 days. It's much better than trying to go to Walmart and deposit using Moneygram
