Hello folks, I am a long time lurker on this site and I just wanted to warn you guys about Bookmaker.  I have trusted and backed this site for years but as of late they have been conducting shady business.  I requested a check on 12/9, the money was not deducted from my account until 12/13 and I was told that the check was going to be sent out on 12/13.  Fast forward 2 weeks and I get an invalid check that was really sent out on 12/22 (read the Fed-ex label) and bookmaker has been less than helpful in resolving this issue.  The customer service sucks there and there only answer is to everything is  "call us back later or tommorow".   I called twice in one day and heard a customer service rep giggling as I am trying to see wtf my options are to resolve this.  Deposit at your own risk guys... this site sucks now!!!

thanks for sharing this, i thought they were supposed to be an a plus rated site but now maybe this will start a trend with them?

did you ask to speak to a supervisor? most customer service rep at any books are a waste of time.

still, i can't believe they're doing this to you.  spread the words.

Well, you sound like a shill.  You have 5 posts, but yet a long time lurker. LOL. Your story sounds like a bad romance novel.

I have used both Bookmaker, and Betmaker for years. Not one issue with checks, wire transfers etc...Please explain your "invalid check" claim from above.

Who declared it invalid?
Where was it declared invalid?
and Why?

Most of their checks are drawn on a bank that is one of the largest in the US.  Usually a foreign branch of that bank, shippied to you from somewhere in the world....

Long time lurker that joined less than a year ago? If you have a complaint file it with SBR or with Lou here at covers. They can hopefully get the issue cleared up.

some people prefer to lurk for awhile before they join, that's understandable.  I'm a long time lurker myself.  Actually I was a member here long ago but lost my account info.

I have a lot of money in BM right now.  I have requested 2 checks for $3000 and both were on my doorstep in under a week from the date I requested them and no problems depositing either.

Bookmaker is legit, you should take your Complaint across the street and see if they can help you. One bounced check (likely due to processor issues) doesn't mean you should avoid bookmaker IMO

thanks for being the one person that has actual help to offer.  I will do that,  My post count has nothing to do with me being jerked around by a "A+" book for 4 weeks.  We will see how fun it is when the same thing happens to 1 of you.

sorry I have to agree.There like the best ones I have ever worked with.been with them for YEARS and never an issues and they actually invited me to come check out there operation and relax for a bit.Dont rin a good name cause of one bad transaction...

Requested check from them last Monday and it arrived Friday, but I was not home. Re-delivered on Tuesday and in the bank on Wednesday. Check cleared this morning. Top notch service from the best book left for U.S. players.

Tell me a book that has good customer service? There are really none that are available to US players.
