first off this is not to the covers crew who post their picks everyday but to all these sites out there that sell their picks and boast ridiculous winnings % and guaranteed winners....are they all total garbage??
admittedly i have played a few of the free 5 unit picks or pick of the days from them but have never yet thrown them money ( a friend of mine was paying for picks and he got mostly losers)...the free picks i played hit 50% at absolute best
and offering us more garbage picks if the picks that we pay for lose is the worst possible incentive i can think of ...hey if we make money off you and you lose then i tell you what,,heres some more picks to lose more money on....
now if they offered guaranteed winners over a month period or double your money back....then i would definitely try one out.

i somehow got on a mailing list so my email has been bombarded with all these ads from sites , i guess now is the prime time with football starting.....so its just been annoying to read their proclamations....i pretty much am a newbie though ,,,,but i would never shell out money for picks...i debated getting like 20 of my friends to pitch in a $20 each and try out this one places picks just for shits and giggles but didnt pursue it
i just know if i ran a site that was legit like that i would have some kind of money back guarantee to put some balls in my picks

SportsFan9698 is right. Don't ever pay for picks and don't play any of those free picks anymore. When I was in college and new at this I tried it w/ a group of friends and we got burned pretty bad. Most people do! Just use your own judgment, and bet small if you are new at this. If your looking for help there are some well respected posters on here who post their picks and game analysis every week and do very well. I won't reveal their names on here but if you start to follow the nfl forum you will figure out who they are and you will get some great advice on games.

I only play guaranteed winners. If you win they charge you, if you lose they don't. I like a few of the cappers here, and use their plays in conjuction with mine. If you stick to the Game of the Year plays you'll do fine.
Don't let unit rating fool you. Most of the cappers here rate plays between 5-10 units. I am always weary of the guys that seem to have lots of 10 unit plays. I've been tracking covers experts for a few years now. You need to remember that you need to give each capper a full season in each sport to get a more realistic evaluation of how good they are.
Guaranteed plays are anywhere from $40 to $65 for some of the game of years. IMO at that price, you need to be betting $300 a game to make it worth your while.
