This might've been asked already, but I couldn't find the answer so I'll ask here again. Maybe someone has experience with this situation.
I'm tired of having to deal with offshore accounts, locals, etc for obvious reasons. I am from Chicago area and I want to take a trip to Vegas and set up an account with a vegas sportsbook. For example, Mirage or MGM Grand.
Will they allow me to place bets over the phone and I can just call in my bets every night? I know I'll have to post up 100% and that's no problem. But, will they take my bets over the phone w/out me having to move to Vegas?

As far as I know the Vegas books that offer online sports book accounts only allow residents of Nevada to open an account. You have to provide a Nevada drivers license and proof of residence. This link is for the station casino rules, but most are the same.

Argggh, there's gotta be a way around this. Do you think a UPS Mailbox address will work? I'm thinking get a driver's license with that address and be good to go? Then I can jst place wagers online after I make a deposit of course. Then I take a trip there to withdraw every year.

If you do find a way around the residence piece be careful. Some of them also block access from IP addresses outside of the blocks assigned to providers in Nevada.
