Went to the new Revel Casino this past weekend. Place is really nice but I think they will have trouble making money in the long run. Seems that if you want to book a room you have to stay two nights with an average cost per room in the $200 range. Not a good bet for a casino looking to fill 1900 rooms. The fact is that the AC market is about 75% day trippers that get a room comp for a one night stay. The Revel needs to revisit their policy about two night stays. My advice is to stay at the Showboat right next store and walk to the Revel along the Boardwalk. Also, their player cards are only one type no difference if you a whale or a penny slot player you all get the same card. I guess they will see what your play is and work from there to see what kind of comps you get. I don't want to hit this point too hard but the whole resort is totally non smoking which I like because I don't smoke but I think this could hurt them in the long run. I do recommend the Revel however because it's got some good places to eat and the night clubs should be hopping when they open full blown on Memorial Day weekend. Beyonce plays a three night gig that weekend, however the tickets might bet a little costly for some. All in all I'll give them a four star rating and will visit them again in May. Good Luck to all!

All of the AC casinos are just stupid with the weekend rates. Although I guess they are still filling the rooms. I am mostly a Sunday-Thursday person thre.
