an October 2007 join date
13 posts
atleast 12 of those posts are defending betphoenix recently.
for now just asking the question, maybe their is a rational explanation for someone creating an account in October of 2007 and then not making any posts until Jan 2010 and then defending and promoting betphoenix.
Just asking a question for now......

Wow…. So I ask a legitimate question and you respond with a derogatory comment. I am just curious why you opened an account in 2007, made no posts for 2.5 years and have just recently decided to start making posts supporting and defending betphoenix?

Sean,
I think you conspiracy theory is a little bit ridiculous. There are plenty of people who create covers accounts who never post. I have a roomate in college who joined in 2006 and probably has 10 posts to date.
He is probably someone who likes to sit back and watch, and when you make 1,000 threads bashing the book that the person used they are probably going to defend it.
I have thousands of posts, and I have defended BetPhoenix. I have had 4 very fast payouts from them with absolutely 0 problems.
If you don't like BetPhoenix... DONT USE THEM. But to make a thread every other day about Richard, BetPhoenix, or a conspiracy theory seems a little bit over the top.
Unless they stole your money from you, then take it down a notch. If they did then contact SBR and Lou...

I am not claiming any conspiracy theory here, I am simply asking a question, why does a user create and account make ZERO posts over 2.5 years then all of the sudden come out making posts defending and supporting betphoenix? That is my question, plain and simple!!!
I have made 3 threads bashing BetPhoenix since I have had problems with them starting on 01/01/2009. That is 3 threads in 3 weeks, hardly the thousands you claim.
I agree I don't like betphoenix and I won't use them, I feel like it is my duty as a member of this forum to spread the word of how they have wronged me. As you notice there are alot of threads being posted about how betphoenix has screwed people, so take it for what it is just a warning.
I am not telling you to move your account, I am not telling you to close your account, I am not asking for any call to action here. All I have done is simply stated how they screwed me.

i think we can both agree that it has hardly been 100's, maybe 20 at the most.
i have said in the past. this the first time in 5.5 years I have had to deal with a general manager at a sportsbook, so yes, maybe i am being to hard on them, but in my 5.5 years I have never had an issue that involved me having to resolve an issue with a general manager of a sportsbook and in my situation not only did I have to resolve the issue with the sportsbook it took me damn near 3 hours to get a simple issue fixed.

there is barley one in this thread... the second post maybe able to be interepted as bashing but still barely qualifies. None of the rest of my posts in here say anything derogatory against betphoenix.

nope not at all, this thread is asking cappingstrong to enlight us as to why he joined in 2007, made no posts until 2010 and then decides after 2.5 years that his thoughts are worthy of posting then decides to only make posts defending betphoenix?

Having 13000+ posts in less than 3 years doesn't prove one is any more credible than somone with 13 posts. In fact, just the opposite, I figure the guy with 13 posts has a life, a family, maybe even a job.
Many of us have used covers as a sports information site 12+ years, but don't really feel the need to engage in verbal battles with a crowd that is predominately first year gamblers that have everything figured out.
Finally to answer your question, I'd say "cappingstrong" is a guy who likes betphoenix. But he may have signed up a year before Betphoenix opened, so that he could defend them 3 years later at a forum.........but i seriously doubt it.

for starters i am not suggesting that post count has anything to do with credibility. The big issue here is the conflict of interest that covers has in terms of what is said in these forums and the advertisement that is in these forums.
is it really that unbelievable to so many of you that covers would create alias and allow books to create alias to spew postive sediments about send book. Face facts here if a book does well, they will spend more money advertising with covers. So it is very easy to see that covers has a direct interest in the success of these books. now join date is the easiest way to add credibility to someone posts. So all i was asking is why he would create an alais and then want 2.5 years to make his first post. Maybe something is up and maybe their is a reasonable explanation.
all i am saying is that the gaming industry part of this forum is not one that is well traveled so the idea to me of someone making their first post in 2.5 years in this forum seems a little sketchy to me.
