I have been looking to buy this particular product for many months now, and I found out that the manufacturer has discontinued making this product for the last 6 months. I will not say what the actual product is, but it is a pharmaceutical product. Obviously, the discontinued product is not sold anymore at any of the drug stores or at drugstore.com or anywhere else for that matter, except on Ebay.
This product used to sell for $10 at my local drugstore, so I expect to pay $15 on Ebay, but not a chance in hell. The starting bids are like $20-$25 on Ebay and eventually the final selling price comes out around $70. I was hoping to paid around $15 maximum for this product. People that are bidding on this product are not doing their homework. These stupid people are jacking up the prices on their bids and it is affecting me and everybody else that wants to buy this product at a reasonable price. The seller is not going to complain about the inflated price as he is laughing all the way to the bank. The sellers anticipate selling this product for $15-20, but these dumb bidders that did not do their homework are being taken adavantage of or they just do not care and are willing to pay premium for a discontinued product. Because the product is now selling at an inflated price of $70 on Ebay, other sellers that have this product will start selling them for $70. I am not going to pay/buy something that is 7x more than the actual costs. The sellers did not anticipate gaining 7x profits on their products either.

BTW ebay is usually a good indicator of what something is worth. Its worth what someone will pay
i hear you....i used to collect the starting lineups 1988 jordan, dominique....etc...and in the Beckett the jordan is highly priced, and so is the 'nique......but there's no way you'll really get those prices so what is it really worth? not much....
i always check something, make sure it has at least 2 bids, and i feel that is what it's worth.

wow this guy cant figure out why the price is more on ebay?
could it have anything to do with what you said about the company no longer making the product anymore? Of course the product is going to cost more now.
