Amazon gift card

Any suggestion what I should buy with a $150 amazon gift card.  Really nothing at the site that interests me.  I thought they would have better things but not even airline tickets and there gift cards are lousy.  Anyone have suggestions.

Messier-11 you shope there?  What kind of books also do they offer any type of airline tickets or something similar?

Well... they specialize in books (duh), but the site offers other entertainment options.  Seriously, look on the home page and look under the departments.  If none of that interest you, well then I have no idea what you could possibly be looking for with that.  And if that is the case, there is a website that will give you cash for your gift cards that is relatively close to the value on the card depending on the site.

To be honest though, if someone gives you a gift card to a site/store that specializes in books, I think they are trying to send you a message

Re-gift that card to the person that gave it to you in the first place, if nothing on Amazon pleases you.

dude... you can buy anything on amazon.  you can buy groceries.  you can buy sports equipment.  you can buy clothes.  you can buy books, music, movies, and games.  you can buy computer equipment.  I literally do 90% of my shopping on amazon.com, because it is a collection area for thousands of stores.  you can buy ANYTHING.  if you can't find something to spend $150 on at amazon.com, you are probably severely retarded.

you can buy parts for your 1982 chevy impala for christ sakes.  and then you can buy a bag of dog food, a pair of socks, a toy for your kid, a box of organic cereal bars, new bedding, a shovel, and a watch.

I also dont mind adding additional money I just want to use up this gift certificate.

I would convey that point too, sans the special needs reference.

Amazon sells more stuff, and more variety, than any store in the world.  And on many items their price is impossible to beat.  And as customer services goes, they are actually quite reasonable and pleasant.  Reading customer product reviews is also incredibly helpful, and surprisingly reliable.  And then there's the convenience.  Something pops in your head that you need, you hop on Amazon and find a great product/value in 5 minutes, click the mouse and it's at your doorstep in 2 days.  Much easier than having the time to go, picking out the right store, trying to find stuff in the store, then trying to compare products, then standing in line...etc.  Amazon is a huge time saver and you end up with better products, and if you know what you're doing, at lower prices.

Amazon should be paying me for this review.

Everyone should be buying (some) stuff on Amazon.

this is a hilarious thread, i dont know one person who couldnt find something they wanted on amazon, its like walmart, costco etc all in one place and all this guy wants is airline tickets!!

you can actually just add the gift card to your amazon account right now

the amount will be added to your amazon account and stay there and you can use the balance in the future

go to amazon, then "your account", then "add a gift card to your account"
