Andrew Friedman doesn't get enough credit

Andrew Friedman should be the one that Brad Pitt is playing.

I can't think of a GM that has done more with less.

Doesn't hurt that a major part of their core is Longoria, Upton, and Price....all top 3 overall picks. 

But he has been pretty masterful considering the contributions of a ton of cheap acquisitions.

Hutch, they spent just over 41 million in player salaries for 2011.

They were the 2nd lowest. The only team lower was KC at 36 million.

The Mariners spent 86.5, A's 67, Orioles 85, Cubs W sox, 125/127, Red Sox 161, Phils 173, Yankees 203.

Friedman and Silverman are geniuses. Sure they have had the benefit of some number #1 picks, however, they picked well on those. I can go on and on about #1 busts that other GMs draft. Their farm system to second to none. They can dump any starter and pick up another no problem. They lock in their young talent for up to 6 -10 years, their best years mind you, see Carl Crawford. Talk about selling high, dumped him for picks and prospects. Genius. Hopefully they can do that with Upton too. All they trades they have made have been solid. And let's not forget about Hickey. That guy can take a shit pitcher and make gold out of him. Look at that pen. He makes Farnsworth good, no one could do that. He is up there with Duncan in St. Louis. As for Maddon, flat out player. No one pinch hits a .108 and gets a HR out of him. All his players buy into his philosophy.
