anyone ever not pay a gambling debt

i know most of you are gonna say your noble and you've paid every debt but come on you hear of all these stories like the brad booth video it got me thinking

so i know i am not the only one in here that has done it i feel bad but when i was in college and didnt know any better and gave the guy my life savings and still owed like a thousand and had no way of giving it to him i just said f it he got enough of my money i have given him thousands i dont think he will lose sleep if i dont give him the remaining few hundred that i owe.

If you are dealing with people on credit people are going to screw you over. If you were a college kid its half his fault in my opinion. Sounds like he let you get in way too deep.

I'd say 60-70 % of gamblers screw someone over at some point if they are allowed credit they can't financially handle. Water under the bridge for him I'm sure. Wrote that off long ago...

The ones that piss them off are those that they pay then when they lose they run... Books take that personally

Decided to give a bookie a try last winter, 1st week, down $580, I paid.  2nd week, I was up exactly $580 (by design), he still hasn't answered a call from me.  The local barber shop said he got drilled by other locals, like, physically assaulted via sports gambling related activity.  I've been laying low for awhile now, but someday, I'm going to see if the barber shop will assist me in tracking him down.  I have a phone number, but don't know where he lives.  It's not like you can go to the local authorities.  What other recourse do I have?  take a pinkie?  fist to the face?  in due time my friends......in due time.
