Don't understand having to talk to people? but okay...western union is simple.
talking to people over the phone on 5dimes regarding the spelling of the name to send it to. if anything messes up, you have to go back to the western union and have the agent change the letter in order to make it go through and sometimes they have to stay on hold for 20 minutes or even longer depending on the time of day.
then there's the talking to the actual agent at the western union who might mis spell a name when you correctly wrote it down on the form. if you don't check the printout before signing off, you're going to have to go back to the western union location to have it fixed, and the agent will be on hold for too long.
It can get so bad as far as the hold times or experiences that one can have over time that if the mistake was yours, you will not be able to get help by going back into the western union location yourself because they will give you a number for your own self to call and let me tell you, the number they give you is worst than the number that agents get to call themselves in the actual location itself. You keep getting a recording, you get transfered to the wrong person and you end up having to call again to start back all over again after wasting 30 minutes.
the other thing is to make sure that you get the money sent in the correct currency. the agent is supposed to ask you if you want to send it in us dollars say for example if you are sending to nicaragua as opposed to cordobas because some forms don't give you the check box to indicate as so. If sending to costa rica, it automatically gets sent by their own currency so you don't have to worry but with nicaragua and philippines for example, you don't want it getting sent by cordobas or pesos because you'll have to go back to the western union location and have it fixed.
Do you see all the possible hoops that you have to jump through by the small examples that i have mentioned? it can be HORRIBLE just thinking about all the possibilities when you really want to bet on an important game 3 hours later. What about the fact that the computers might be down or the western union location closing?
just cause you might have had some very simple experiences enough with your western union dealings so far, you might be one of the lucky ones. You should feel lucky enough that i am expending this energy the way i am to help explain to you some of the things that can happen in life but most of the time people don't care or need to explain things to you, they shouldn't.

this is what i did when i was booking with legends back then. the experience was bad just this single time that i started taking screen shots of the receivers name to send it to because legends told me i got the name spelling wrong for this one time. Yes it's best to go through an online chat but you still are "having to talk to people" as brent musberger said in post #4 jic jac in post #2 has the best advice, can only do like $499 at a time but it works.
