Agreed. Burger sounds old school too. It's all in marketing. McDonalds recently had a bad earnings report and is trying to compete more with casual dining places like Chipotle and Panera.
They're extra value meals are pushing 7 bucks these days, so they need to sound more classy to justify the cost.

Exactly.
And this goes for the new décor inside all these McDonald's 'restaurants' (a term they like to use instead of 'fast food joint') which also helps justify price increases in everything outside the dollar menu.

I grew up in a home that had a fro scratch kitchen. So there were always home cooked meals that I only learned to appreciate later. So on those few occasions we got McDonalds and that little toy, it was like a drug.
