The asteroid is traveling a very high right of speed about half the speed of light in a trajectory that includes Earth's orbit in its orbit around the sun.

NASA has the dart rocket system in deployment and most of us will be unaware of the nudge we give it to move it away from potentially we will be.....

It's a reality that may or might not materializes.

This is layman terms of we hit the rock hard enough to move it's orbit but no so hard we shatter it.,. Then it won't be where potentially it would be had we done nothing...

Too hard well we get a huge meteor shower in August....
