I read about this story yesterday and saw it on the news this morning. Shaq also gave each of the kids a C-note when he left. A total of 8 kids got $100.

I have a story similar to this less the Shaq presence or any hockey pro for that matter. Someone called the police on my friends, brother and I when we were in high school for playing hockey in the street. Some of our neighbors didn't like the checking component of the game; they said we were being too violent, hahahaha. Phucking soft-behind Floridians.

Cops came and one of them said to his partner, "Were they serious about this?" They had to respond but told us to carry on. One of my buddies at the time overheard the cop tell my neighbor the classic "Boys will be boys" phrase.

PEOPLE call me a cop-hater. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;If you have anything bad to say about these cops then you are a fool.&#xD;&#xA;A lot of good cops out there. Wish more were like these guys.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;We used to play in a schoolyard park as kids. Every single day. We used to play with hardballs, sure we broke a couple windows. It happens as kids , does it not? Cops were called, they came by and said "Hey guys, I know you wanna play baseball etc, but here" and threw us a couple used softballs. The real soft ones. That was really nice. Never told us to leave or anything. We used the softballs for a while, they sucked , no pop, until we were happy to lose them over the fence. Back to baseballs. &#xD;&#xA;Kids will be kids.  A lot worse things you can be doing out there other than playing sports.  grumpy folks.

Grumpy folks indeed.I&#x27;m sure cops hate responding to these types of calls.  It&#x27;s unnecessary but they have to do something so a half-fast "stern talking-to" suffices in these situations.I&#x27;m sure they have the "Do I really have to do this?" attitude when responding to these complaints.

Amazing.I don&#x27;t call the cops unless every possible solution has been completely exhausted. Humans are actually capable of policing themselves in most situations.

Detox, I&#x27;ve heard it said both ways.  It&#x27;s a regional thing. Google it.Another example, Flipping someone off and flicking someone off.Newark Bay area people say "flick", suburban New Jerseyites say "flip."Search, I&#x27;m the same way.  I don&#x27;t call the cops, especially when the boys are just being boys.  It&#x27;s good to see kids play outside.  Nowadays, it&#x27;s more prevalent that kids play inside on their laptops, watching TV or playing video games.  When I was kid in the 90s, I couldn&#x27;t wait to play hockey, football or basketball outside with the neighborhood kids.  It&#x27;s not too common to see kids riding bikes or roller blading in the streets anymore.
