What are the best options for cord cutting? I&#x2019;ve heard about fire stick and Apple TV. I remember my old neighbor was showing a box he had that allowed him to watch live tv and local news stations from all over the country ( We live in Georgia but he was able to watch news stations in Philly)but I can&#x2019;t recall the name of it . I can&#x2019;t take my cable bill anymore

I use to have Sling TV it was pretty good get a lot of channels for way less than cable but no local channels

Every country. Every sports package. Every PPV. I think I pay 20 bucks a month.

Fukk it all!!!  I cut my cable cord and only pay for internet. Everything on TV is political and got sick and tired of Fox News and CNN and everybody else fighting. I get all my news by surfing the internet around the world. Watch YouTube on my iPhone and desktop. Seriously, don&#x2019;t give these cable company Corporate Fukks $300 a month!!!  Just cut the cord completely and go internet.

I haven&#x27;t had a TV for years.  But you keep saying you don&#x27;t get your news from TV, but from the internet.Quite obviously, these are just as biased.  Especially, if you get them from around the world -- they have their own perspective also.What sites do you use that you think are unbiased?  Even on TV the news is the news.  If you hear the news about a plane crash -- it is almost always simply the news.  It is when you get to political news that you mainly see the bias.  Nearly everyone already has their mind made up on these issues.  They almost always watch the news that reinforces their opinions.  It seems it is the same online.Just curious where you see sites that are unbiased on political news?

There are no completely unbiased news sources but that’s the fun of surfing around the globe. You check into a few of them and get all sides and somewhere in between is the truth. That’s for you to decide.

Russia has Tass and China has China Daily and both are State run propaganda machines. But Fox News and CNN are equally ridiculous with their own agendas. For Middle East stories try Israel’s Haaretz or Iran’s IFP or even Al Jazeera.

Try Reuter’s or Euro News. News24 comes out of South Africa. TheTimes of India. Channel News Asia is Indonesia. Check out Sydney Morning News from Australia or CBC of Canada.

There’s so many sources out there it’s unbelievable and a helluva lot more interesting than watching Fox and CNN fight every day.

Yes.  I read lots of them.  My point is what you say &#x2014; they all have their own agendas as well.  For news, all around, they will give you the local stuff that is not covered here, at least not in depth.  The point I am making is they are all still biased.  Might as well read CNN or FOX online if you are going to use them for political news.  If you want to know about the apartment fire in Australia, in depth, you want the Australian news sources.  That is news.  Etc. Etc. I am just saying for political &#x2018;news&#x2019; there are very, very few that are unbiased. If you truly want to &#x2018;cut the cord&#x2019; don&#x2019;t even waste time online reading these sorts of things either.  Just read the news for whatever pertinent news you want, from wherever you want to know about, then move on to better entertainment or education.  Much better things to do than spend time online, or watching TV for political views. Unless, that&#x2019;s what you like &#x2014;- lots of folks love politics for sure!   But online or TV &#x2014; not much difference to me. Just more of it online.

I very seriously dislike the fighting between Reps and Dems. It&#x2019;s very divisive and serves no purpose other than to keep both sides fighting and our eyes off the corporate fukks that rape the other 99% of the population.  It&#x2019;s hilarious that so many people think that they &#x201C;are real players in the game&#x201D;.  As the late, great, George Carlin used to say, &#x201C;you ain&#x2019;t sh!t, THEY OWN YOU&#x201D;.

I get frustrated every month when I pay bills..........my tv/internet (FIOS) is about $250/month........... my biggest bill every month other than mortgage..........oh, but they throw in a land line for free. an_roll_laugh

But the sports package is stellar........ makes it tough to part with, especially in the fall.

Maybe I'll cut after this next bowl season, which is exactly what I said LY...... an_wink
