Does anybody watch the show Intervention on A&E?

Man, that show sucks me in.  For most of it, I can&#x27;t believe how bad off these people can be and how badly they treat their family and friends, and then they hit the intervention, clean up, and you see them doing good.  It is great at the end when they show the dialogue about how they have been clean for so long, but it is just brutal to me to see when they have relapsed.  It&#x27;s like you are cheering for them and then they just miss a 30 yard field goal to break your heart.  It&#x27;s a lot like being a Texan&#x27;s fan.

unbelievable, a sad show though, my wife always cries and i always think of a couple buddies i lost to a drug addiction, i have no idea what they are up to now...its sad, cant imagine the feeling

The most memorable one that I saw was about a girl in her early 20&#x27;s that was addicted to Dust-Off computer cleaner.She would watch tv with her mom while constantly huffing these cans of compressed air.She would get totally polluted.

I watched one episode with a dad being an alcoholic,recently diagnosed with cancer.The guy&#x27;s son and daughter were crying and begging him to take the intervention,which he eventually relented to.Then when the show did an update,they announced he died from the disease catalysed by the alcohol abuse.Broke my heart...can&#x27;t watch that kind of stuff!

The episode that you mention with the girl with the Duster is awesome. that girl basically becomes retarded, but eventually kicks the habit and youd swear its a different person now.  I love this show, makes me feel not so bad about my gambling addiction.

I saw that and was shocked at her afterwards. She was going to give a letter to a lady apologizing for acting crazy while she was high. She had like blonde hair and didn&#x27;t look or act like she did on the show.

I&#x27;ve seen the show a few times, some crazy people on there &amp; I&#x27;m not just talking about the people on drugs.  Most of the parents and friends could use some help too.  Never seen one yet about gambling disorders.

One of the first episodes was about a nerd that lost most of his parents money on Gambling. Apperantly this guy was a genious but his narcissitic personality disorder got the best of him, or the best of his parents money.

I watch the show and love it. It shows the true face of addiction and how its really not glamorous or enjoyable in any way. For some reason I have to watch it when I'm flipping channels and come across it. Definitely a sad show, really the only "downer" show I watch.
