I remember flipping channels as a kid and running across this dude every so often, had to stop for a second like watching a train wreck.

Popoff is a gem.  Tons of people getting mailed money for no reason at all.  

Was watching last night and they actually increased the amount of holy water they send to you (comes in a larger plastic bag) so you can spread it around more.

Never understood Scal why there are so many Americans especially down in Alabama, Arkansas, and Louisiana that are so gullible that they would give money to these con artists.

It is disgusting. And to think that people actually buy into this. I mean this is equivelant to trying to convince adults that Santa Claus and the Easter bunny exist.

It is called the bible belt for a reason That being said its the biggest scam since the pet rock, plus a church or religious org usually get special irs designation,pay no tax , what a racket. Cant believe the mafia never branched out into operating a church.

Someone who once worked for Hinn was mentioned in an article exposing the whole thing.

That person's job was to 'go over' the prayer requests - envelopes with prayer requests and $$ in them). He said every one with that job was told to take the cash out of the envelopes and throw the written requests and the envelopes away.

It's the entrenched culture down there and it isn't going away any time soon. You'll feel it if you ever travel there. It's palpable. The billboards, the churches, the bumper stickers in the backwoods, frontwoods, and every woods imaginable...God, guns and grits and gravy... in that order.

Then of course, you'll see surveys for highest porn site usage in the US and the Bible Belt states consistently dominate.
