New FanDuel sportsbook opens up at the Meadowlands racetrack today. Really will be crazy there today but I'll head on over anyway. This place will be rocking when the football season starts.

Went there as I said before and the place was packed. You could bet prop bets like parlays and run lines on baseball. I was told that you will soon be able to bet on games that are live and already in progress. Also, once they get a 2nd area for sports betting finished they will have betting kiosks to place your bets like they have for horse racing and they use in Vegas for sports. Room was nice with tables and sofas in areas of the room there is also a bar right inside. Was told that the online betting should be ready by the middle of August. Judging by the crowd I think they might have handled somewhere in the area of $300k for the first day. I bet the world cup final so I may head back Sunday to collect if I win and bet some baseball if I don't. Also, noticed that you could bet tennis matches that started at 5AM Sunday morning in Europe which is not Wimbledon but some other tourney. Also, you can bet props in the world cup final like who will score the first goal and half time score etc. This track will be packed even more during football season but there is ongoing talks about Sunday betting because the Giants and Jets play in Met Life Stadium and they my object to having betting only a few steps form the games. We'll see. Guest that's it but if you can go I would suggest you check it out for youself.

Lots of bettors complaining about the baseball lines being 20cent lines but I did find some good value bets that weren't that bad. Anyway, if you live close enough, give it a try and let us know how you feel on Covers. Good Luck!

What i find interesting is what the lines for Giants and Jets nfl games will be within the state of Jersey as compared to the state of las vegas odds for the same game...you gotta believe there are going to be betting syndicates popping up everywhere if there is an edge somewhere

Would be interesting what bets will be available tomorrow. Home run derby is the only USA action going on. I will be checking it out to see if they offer some soccer bets from Europe tomorrow. Games will take place in Sweden and Iceland but I'll be stunned if they offer them. In the home run derby I like Max Muncy to win it all and hope to get good odds on him.

Jos... Not positive, but I think FanDuel is now owned by Paddy Power not Betfair. Not that this changes your point, but just throwing it out there.

And Jos, if you go back and are comfortable asking - ask them what their NFL side limits will be for regular season.
Thanks in advance.

Eventually they will all have apps that work based on your geo locations found in your phone....im in Ontario and use Bet365 and Williamhill without issues...but when i travelled recently to Dallas neither site allowed me to log on...i didnt understand why until i called them and was explained about geo location restrictions....same thing happened when i went to Winnipeg too...some provinces dont allow these books either. Seems ridiculous in todays modern internet era...but eventually i believe it will all become a global market open to all.

Went to the book to see if there was any soccer action but except a future bet on the EPL there wasn't any. Did bet Max Muncy to win the home run derby tonight he was +450 so the price was right. The place was slow today because of the lack of sports action in the US. They did have future bets on the British Open this week. I did not partake however. You also can bet on opening week of the NFL but I didn't do it even though I noticed that the Giants were +3.5 at home against the Jags. Could be a good chance to middle if you take the +3.5 and hope that the line drops below 3 on the day of the game and then take the Jags and hope they win by 3 and you get the middle. I know, real pie in the sky but that's gambling!!!

Just found out that the book handled over $500k on Saturday and over $400k on Sunday. Tells me that when football and college football and basketball starts they can get more than one million in bets on weekends per day!!! Ncaa basketball tourney will be crazy.

I was there during an event this past Saturday and while it was packed parking was still free and I was able to find a spot just had to walk a bit more over to the book.

I was told they will take 50k on a side in NFL. I don't believe they are booking more than 10k on a single bet in MLB right now.
