The fact that sports gambling is illegal in America still baffles me, There are 4 betting shops on my road, Repeat 4 betting shops. One of them shows horse racing extensively,  The other one shows soccer, cricket and horse racing etc, It baffles me how such a modern country like the US can have such an old school mindset to gambling.

we did have those days, but after prohibition and the Black socks mark on baseball the casinos and bars were systematically removed from america in a legal sense.

it was moved to a speak easy system. When Vegas was developed it was allowed gaming and as a natural layover for
recruits traveling from ft in the south and east it began to build over night.

Atlantic city was bit tougher to legalize. and took many more years to allow legal gaming in the east. but it limited sports action to Nevada in a thought process to keep a tight handle of gambling on games and the players and mangers themselves betting on sports.

Pete Rose was caught gambling banned for life in baseball which completely screwed atlantic cities petition to allow sports betting.

now with the use of cell phones global communication systems internet and the ability to place a man in vegas or other legal venues world wide gaming can be done through phone calls and western unions.

so the feds track this activity. and devoloped huge proceedures to ensure all suspicious activity using this media through wells fargo is completely disclosed. as any cashier using western union must complete a series of hard copy paper work detailing transactions.

it is becoming clear that the more the federal government continues to adjust the surveillance the more crafty the gaming world becomes to evade the monitors. So as a final attempt to secure the scale and scope of the industry they track the bar codes of the bills themselves as they pass through tsa monitors at the airports. 

the embedded gps tracking chips embedded int he bills themselves. this ongoing security improvements gives the federal government the scope and ability to track all cash flow in cash.

as always the gaming world will adapt and overcome these obstacles to dealing with tighter and tighter restrictions on their personal liberty to bet washington will win against ';Bama in their locality.

groups pushing for less gaming restrictions Poker Players alliance, sports gaming freedom and others. The powers push back against them are the same That wish to make alchohol illegal, Marijuana criminal, Why because they believe they can control the individual to allow for a more respectable citizens in their community.

they graft this thought to what the wild wild west look like after the reconstruction act of 1866- early 1900's . Bars, Alchohol , drugs and violence run together.

I will add to that the lobbyists are very strong for ythe State of Nevada who want a monopoly on Sports Gambling. Also, individual States like Texas and Tennessee have passed legislation making it legal for law enforcement to seize ANY large amounts of cash. Just ridiculous.

more broadly, the laws on cash seizure and transpo are terrifying

I've read numerous accts. of this. There is a hwy down there that they say is a major drug route & believe everyone going through there with cash is a runner......they seize all your assets illegally & it's up to you to prove it isn't drug money.......it's BS.

If the guy just wanted to pass the cash over the border why didn't  he just have it in bitcoin. You can travel all over the world and they really cant do anything if its in bitcoin. Even if they do its very hard to do because no one knows if Bitcoin is real money defined by goverments.

matter of fact a person could have over ten thousand in bit coin in a wallet in there phone and go from Canada to the U.S. hows the government supposes to go after it ?
