He caresses and fondles his bait/lure like his first girlfriend. All kidding aside, he really does present his bait to get the most amount of hits possible. Proper depth/distance from each other is so important because you don't want to waste time untangling lines.

Pulling in 3 or 4 of these is a rush but also back breaking work. With the waves they were battling, it makes it even tougher.
