GE has more than 12,000 employees currently based in China.
versus....
The deal will create 200 jobs in the U.S.
"Our immediate focus is to jointly bid the best, competitive solutions to compete for the COMAC C919 narrow-body aircraft programand then get ready for the next generation of Boeing and Airbus products."
(you can read THIS as future Boeing and Airbus electronics will be made in CHINA)

interesting post. nice that he still enjoys the job. as for me, I'm glad I'm retired. after 9-11, between TSA "security", company cutbacks and giving concessions to our criminal "executives", who took us into bankruptcy anyhow, "flying the line" just became one big pain in the ass.
back on the subject of GE and other companies outsourcing, people are wondering "where are the jobs?" in the "recovery". well this is where they have gone. I fear that 10% unemployment is probably the "new normal".
and you can book that the next GE operation to be outsourced will be the engine shop.
and btw, United Airlines is now doing a load of it's international aircraft overhaul in China.
