I feel like every year there is some team that just loads up out of nowhere and appears to have the inside track at the World Series and they turn out to be flops. BJ's have made a lot of interesting moves but they are still a ship without a captain.

that and also the little bit extra pop off the bat can make a big difference between a routine fly out / ground out and a base hit

Gonna need a lot more than one starter.  Josh Johnson did great against the weaker NL bats...we will see what he does against the AL East...he has done very well in the interleague games

melk mans contract is just 2 years. he doesn&#x27;t need to put up all star numbers to make his contract worth it.

A career 270 hitter is all of a sudden hitting .346 while on steroids.He was in the best shape of his life, was noticeably stronger, was less sore day to day, basically feeling like superman. He had extra testosterone, it&#x27;s not rocket science how that gives your performance a boost and gives your bat more pop and your step a little extra bounce.

All while his head was swelling to the size of a bowling ball...Great players get even better when they are on juice. When they come off it (Arod, Manny Ramirez, Giambi) and continue playing, they are never the same.
