Yeah, nice place to go..
This place still has a communist regime that endorses other filthy regimes (i.e. Venezuela) .
Do you even bother to read the news before making plans to your destination.
Trump has every reason to revoke "the concessions" offered by the O'bama Administration.

Cuba is a cesspool, those that have been their for a vacation, regardless of their nationality, 'never return for a second disappointment
going to any country (especially Cuba) that is under a communist regime; for a vacation, a holiday, or just for a weekend of fun, would have to be considered a very bad decision....The Caribbean is loaded with five star accommodations, with some of the most scenic beaches in the world. Don't waste your time, or money on a garbage dump country...to each his own, hopefully you'll change your destination without regret...

I am a general pediatrician in the US. This therapy to prevent mother to child transmission in the US has been used for the last 20+ years. It is offered to all HIV infected mothers who seek prenatal care and to their babies. It is available to all mothers who are pregnant and all infants, no matter what. All woman and babies can get medical care and medical insurance in the US if they seek it, no matter what their financial status is. Medicaid (government insurance) is free and available if someone is pregnant and cannot afford insurance.
In 2010, the last year I could find data, the US had 3,999,386 births in the US. That year, there were 162 children that were infected with HIV by their mothers at the time of birth. That is an infection rate of 0.00001%, if I did my math correctly. Almost zero.
BUT IT IS EXACTLY 162 CASES TOO MANY!
In the cases I have taken care of, and the mother CHOSE NOT TO get parental care, all those babies STILL DID NOT get infected. The treatment regimen -- which is prenatal meds for the mom and after birth medications for the baby -- works well enough if only given to the baby after birth.
It must be stressed that the mothers did not get prenatal care BY CHOICE. It is available. They can get it. But their priorities, sadly, lie elsewhere.
I wonder if the date from WHO/Cuba include all the babies born out of hospitals and without any prenatal care there.
The US is pretty damn good. Not perfect, but the US will never measure up when utopia, perfection and more importantly, a larger political agenda, is the real goal.
