some of the threads & posts from kids and wanna be's boasting of million dollar wagers and such tend to make me think the forum doesnt have enough clout to do much of anything,,with all due respect natch --

The majority of sharps view the majority of bettors on this site as squares.
Therefore, if a big-time sharp, who can actually move a line 1/2 pt. in Vegas because he placed a large enough bet on a game, logged onto covers and saw the masses in a thread on one side and took the other, that could move a line (just not as you originally may have thought) which would prompt many on this site to say that reverse line movement occurred.
1/2 pt at most IMO though (to the other side).

I have to say, whenever I bet more that a couple of dimes on a smaller game in Vegas, the ticket counter guy usually talks to the management about the bet.
They always take it( remember I am a square) but I bet they are watching for 5 of those large bets on one side and they may reconsider their line.
