Ok well I am claiming Harry Potter is real. You still haven't provided any evidence against his existence.

The point of harry potter is that normal humans dont know about him...

No of course not, but I do believe in the Holy Bible, especially the part that says all who reject Jesus Christ our Lord Savior will spend eternity in hell. The Holy Bible is the Word of God.

And the ministry of magic has protective spells preventing muggles from seeing wizards, so there's no way we could ever test if Harry Potter exists. I guess we just have to take my word for it!

There's a special on this tuesday regarding how the universe began and god all this crap. I think it's on at 10 eastern time, but I could be wrong. I know it's tuesday night though. I will certainly watch it. You should too.

I also think this is worth saying in this thread:

Sadly Christopher Hitchens has died at 62...  I just hope SJD is wrong because that means he's burning in hell right now, which if i must say so, is kinda fucked up.  He was a real smart guy and will be missed...

No human has been to the surface of the sun, yet we know what temperature it is. Point is humans have the ability to "know" many things without direct experience. The power of thought is to understand without direct evidence. Science is the elevation of thought through imagination.

It is the power of an idea which provides illumination to the "real" world. The fact that a human can predict phenomina which has yet to be discovered with her own reason, and then evidence of such predictions, and hypothesis comes available by means of technology not previously available proves that humans can answer any of these "unsolvable" questions.

The current Hadron collider now on line is providing more answers on the origins of the universe, including more evidence that there is multiple dimensions to the fabric of the universe which we cannot see. But we have predicted might be there because the science, and evidence points in this direction. Once again, human imagination, and thought uncovering the secrets of the universe. The "holy scriptures" have offered nothing to elevate the human existence, and only serve to divide and promote bigotry.

Vanity Fair magazine, where Hitchens worked as a columnist, said the sharp-witted commentator died late Thursday of pneumonia, a complication of the esophageal cancer he was diagnosed with in 2010.

Though Hitchens developed a high-profile in 2007 with his controversial international bestseller, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, he spent the majority of his career as a war-time journalist, literary critic and prominent political commentator.

It's either on H2 or the science channel, one of them, at either 9 or 10 eastern time. It may be on in Australia as well.

And one of my problems with religion is it discourages thinking. For example: if we accept that god created the universe, why bother looking for the origins? We know the answer already. Yet we continue to send out probes an satellites and devote billions of dollars into research into discovering something that we know the answer to. That doesn't make sense. If you believe 100% that god created the universe, then you should be against this type of exploration. And if you are against this exploration, you are against the discovery of knowledge, which seems counter intuitive.

God is and that's truth. God doesn't need anybody approval or proof of his existence. He just is the I am that I am. God is love and forgiveness. All else is from man. Has religion been used to divide and kill man? Of course it has. Does that mean that God doesn't exist. If you raise a family of 4 kids and one of them becomes a mass murderer. Does that mean you were a bad parent. God gave us freedom of choice. You have chosen to not believe and that is your prerogative. But I will submit this to you fine gentlemen especially the non-believers and atheist.
To say that this entire Universe in it's complexity and beauty was randomly created without Divine Intelligence is the height of arrogance. I will give you an example. Take out your scrabble boards, put all the pieces in a bag. Shake the bag vigorously then dump all the pieces out. If it makes a perfect sentence then and only then can you say that this Universe was made by some random accident. Try it and let me know your results. God is the head Scientist that you so eloquently speak of and seek. May God bless you all and may you find the peace that you seek in your own time.
