 God doesn't need anybody approval or proof of his existence. He just is the I am that I am. God is love and forgiveness. All else is from man. Has religion been used to divide and kill man? Take out your scrabble boards, put all the pieces in a bag. Shake the bag vigorously then dump all the pieces out. If it makes a perfect sentence then and only then can you say that this Universe was made by some random accident. Try it and let me know your results. God is the head Scientist that you so eloquently speak of and seek. May God bless you all and may you find the peace that you seek in your own time.

I think the reason this argument has gotten so out of control is that atheists and agnostics attempt only to rely on the currently accepted state of the physical and testable environment (including Santa Claus of course, who clearly would be a 300 pound pilot living in a tricked out igloo), whereas theists are allowed to make up magical rules about some supernatural wonderland.

Maybe it's just me, but I find it hard to believe that an all-loving god would have you spend ANY time at all studying his first and only novel. I'm guessing he'd want you to dedicate your lives to the betterment of all mankind and doing acts of charity not to appease him, but out of the goodness borne in your heart.

I also don't think it'd take a god 700 pages to express his ideas... he split the sea in half but he couldn't edit his own manuscript.

If I were to invent a god, my god would stop murder. It's really quite easy. If you murder, god will judge whether the murder was justified. If it was not, he strikes you dead on the spot. I feel like that would stop murder real fast. But...since the christian god allows murder to occur and doesn't punish murderers, the christian god implicitly condones murder, and therefore, is an asshole.

So your argument that God doesn't exist is because there is no proof according to you then that means he doesn't exist. What kind of man would think such a arrogant thought as that. There are plenty and plenty more sciences in the bible that would have been impssoible to know with NO scientific contradictions.

Question for you astute gentlemen. Can you see Love? Can you touch Love. How about hate? Yet they both exist. When you spend money what confidence or belief backs that up? How is the value of money determined. If we suddenly lose faith in our monetary what happens? Can you touch faith. Can you see faith? Where is the evidence that Faith, Love or hate exist. Certainly not by our actions. That doesn't prove anything. So how do you know that they exist? Do you deny love for your wife, children or family. Yet you have no proof that love exist. Is love real or is it just some fairy tale that man has made up to make him feel better.  Can love be proven through a scientific experiment. Is there a love gene? Ponder this atheists and let us know what you come up with.

I just find it so funny, so hilarious that all the atheists here think that science is there backbone in reaosning and logic, yet they continue to ignore the latest scientific discoveries and the implications of their beliefs.....

Some of the biggest hypocritical thinking i have ever witnessed.

"we dont believe in magic"........Oh yeah?

Things popping into existence from nothing is  ?

You're really associating the existence of feelings of the conscious mind with that of the existence of god??

And how do you think money has value?  You think it is based on faith??  Now I know what we're dealing with here...

Regardless, I have no idea what this post has to do with anything.  Your argument for god cannot possibly be "Well, we can't see, hear, or touch him so he exists."  Please tell me there is more to your argument....

The universe has an estimated age of 10-15 billion years.... human life has existed for a estimated 500 million years.  In the mean time god must have been practicing on the dinosaurs and finally had enough of their s**t and sent a meteor to destroy them?

Also many people forget that in that 500 million years there have been different varities of human beings. Many scientists believe that our ability to talk came from the neanderthals.

The whole exodus story has evolved over time.... the ancient sumerians had a similar story to that of the christian creation story...difference was satan was a serpent of knowledge...not deceit.

Does a god exist? possibly...but I suspect its not like its preached nor taught. I can certainly see a higher race of beings existing....but they could look at us like we do ants on ant hill.

From a divine standpoint I don't understand the need for pain and suffering. What does god stand to gain by a faithful follower being chopped to pieces by a serial killer? What does god stand to gain by a follower being eaten by a shark on winter holiday?  The response is always "god works in mysertious ways" but at some point you have to question.

The old testament is full of violence and is very contradictory to new testament.  So I am suppose to believe that murdering is justified in the old but is a huge sin in the new?

Also life isn't as rare as we think... the universe is loaded with it... the more worlds we discover and visit the more we recognize that fact.  There are more planets in the universe than grains of sand on all of Earths beaches.... I suspect there are many worlds just like ours that exist.

Eventually we human beings will evolve into half machine and half human beings.... it has already began with artificial organs and limbs.  Evolution is natures way of improving... god has zero to do with it.

I just don't understand the need to believe in god. It makes no sense. Even if god exists, if you are a good person and live a good life, but don't believe, when you die, an all good god would understand why you didn't believe and still reward you for being a good person. If it's all about being a good person, who needs god? And if it's not all about being a good person, then it's not something a human being should want to believe in.

Implications of atheistic belief

1. Things can pop into existence uncaused, by nothing, for nothing in this natural universe.

2. Absence of moral values. Raping, shitting on, pissing on, and murdering little girls is NOT absolutely wrong. Opinion on wether raping, shitting on, pissing on and murdering little girls is no different to 2 people sitting down debating wether Kobe is better than Lebron. It is really one persons opinion over the other.Neither is absolutely right, neither is absolutely wrong.

3. Logic that the atheist thinks he has, cannot be trusted.

4. Atheists deny the majority of opinions of historical scholars regarding the historicity of Jesus Christ.

If you are going to answer back to this post, try to debunk the arguments, dont reply "you are an idiot, sky daddy, you are a loser"...Play the argument, not the man
