With most alternative and hard rock being absolutely pathetic right now. All I here is Hinder and Shinedown and weak ass sounding bands like that now. I'm slowly starting to get into some of this Indie shit now.

Some good tracks there mate! Been listening to Naked and Famous for awhile now, also White Lies, Black Keys, The Wombats, The Joy Formiddable, Chromeo, Mark Ronson, Ed Sheeran is a bit different but a good sound. Lots of good music out there mate ya just gotta know where to look! (Which btw is not in the states IMO)

BBC.CO.UK/RADIO1 easily my favorite music choice to listen to, all kinds of genres

Thanks bud. I know of it is borderline gay, but fuck it. I need to hear something new. I know it's not for everyone. I'm actually really digging Matt and Kim right now. Pretty cool beats.

The Modest Mouse song is about 7 or 8 years old.  Not exactly current. 

You should take this to the Music section.....you'll get a better response there.

LCD is amazing

agreed on hard/alt rock...its terrible

I had never heard of Matt & Kim until I saw them at the Sunset Strip Music Festival over the Summer. They were great performers & had the crowd going wild. Although not my type of music really, & very, very Gay ...it was entertaining.

Funny side note: My name is Matt & I'm dating a chick named Kim

fwiw - ive found Pandora to be an amazing discoverer of new music for me

just make a few different stations of some of the bands above and you'll get a nice controlled randomness of good tunes

try some Miike Snow a little more electronic but great. FischerSpooner is another, The Shins, Coconut Records

listen to minus the bear and my morning jacket... easily two of the best bands to listen to.

 Here's to a good match on Sunday. Took in the Blackburn v Fulham match at Craven Cottage earlier this year. My first EPL game ever

Well didn't go the way I'd hoped mate but we fought hard til the end. Disappointing not to get a result but after the way we looked in the opening 45 we probably didn't deserve one. Lovely stuff from Bale all match and a magnificent move and strike from Aaron Lennon , poor Chris Baird just lost the plot! Tough break to not get a goal in the last 5 minutes though many opportunities but then again that's football...

As far as good tunes go I heard this track for the first time over the weekend and cannot stop listening to it. Just something about it yea? Anyway give it a listen and keep posting songs in here, this is easily one of the strongest genres out right now and I should know cause I'm a radio DJ. Top 40 = CRAP. More now than ever I think.

The band is called Middle Class Rut and the song "New Low" take a listen lads and I think you're really gonna like this!
