If there are pros around here, they're not telling.........
But, if you notice, some of the better cappers tend to follow similar rules:
They don't bet a ton of games. It would be impossible to come up with a number for every game given all the variables (injuries, weather, ATS record, revenge game, Coach/OC/DC, etc), so a select few are chosen, because they think they have a "read" or "angle" on said games.
They bet what they know. Most cappers, I won't say "specialize", but tend to focus on a league or teams they are comfortable with. Scalabrine will come up with a few games, and list at least 5 reasons he is betting what he's betting. DU4L will have bets that moves on a scale of Large Bets and Smaller Bets. Scal is a Jersey guy, is wired on NY, certain coaches (he's got Purdue OVER 3-1/2 which is looking good), and the occasional Tulane/SMU thing. But only because he follows these goofballs.
Remember, you don't need big names. You won't impress me if you pick the Ohio State/Michigan game. But, you nail Coastal Carolina vs. Rhode Island, now you have my attention. Just let your fellow bettors know what you know. Share. That way, we all win.
They set limits. You should never bet with money you can't afford to lose financially or emotionally. You can't go into a bet thinking "If I win this, I'm gonna get a new set of snow tires" or whatever.
They don't chase. Never follow or pay no mind to ANY capper that says "I lost my College GOY, but I've got a blockbuster NFL game for Sunday!"
This is not The Gospel, and are not the stone tablets. Just common sense. Used so rarely in a game of emotions......GL
