I'm from Philly and I doubt you will find an athlete people love more than him.
He will always be hands down one of my favorite athletes of all time. Have never and will never see a player with his talent play with that level of heart and intensity.

I'd rather watch Iverson than 95% of the professional athletes. Who cares what he's like off the court. I don't care if a player is a good or bad person. If I'm watching basketball I want to be entertained and watch the best. Iverson was one of the greats.

Punks like him were a good part of the reason I quit watching the NBA. Seems like for every Ray Allen, there were three Allen Iversons.

While I was entertained by AI on the court and a fan since I was a child, during the period of 2001+ I realized that I didn't have Dr. J, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Charles Barkley, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Dominique Wilkins, Michael Cooper, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler & Akeem Olajuwan any longer and I was stuck with AI, Rasheed Wallace, Latrell Sprewell (who couldn't feed his kids on $8M, Kobe & Shaq b*tching at each other and said this doesn't do it for me anymore. I miss the old NBA, not the current one...

I'm watching the 30 for 30 on Reggie Miller vs. The New York Knicks. Exhibit A as to what the NBA lacks today and as far as Iverson goes - he was a great player with a big heart but I'm not impressed with him as a person whatsoever.
