The Bronx Bull RIP. anyone who's seen the movie Raging Bull knows of this Hard nose middle weight from late 40's and 50's. Legendary bouts with Ray Robinson and Cerdan etc.
He lived to 94 or 95. never was knocked down in 90 plus fights. Look him up and you'd be impressed.has to be the oldest fighter to ever live.
His 1st wife Vikki Lamotta did a playboy spread at 51 in 1981 and it was fantastic. she passed at 75 years old.
Anyway if ya'll have any thoughts pls share.
RIP Jake. us Boxing fans would enjoy a fighter like you these days.

Put Sugar Ray Robinson down on the canvas more times than any other opponent. At 5' 8" was Lb for Lb most definately one of the scrappiest fighters in Boxing History. The Bronx Bull was one very special Boxer.

truly amazing (and pretty bad azz) that he was never knocked off his feet in 6 fights against Sugar Ray Robinson.
He boasted "No son-of-a-girl ever knocked me off my feet", but that
claim was ended in December 1952 at the hands of Danny Nardico when
Nardico caught him with a hard right in the seventh round. (Granted he was already 30 years old when this happened)
