Got into it with Wifey because her town of Wethersfield, CT has nothing, ZERO, planned for the Holiday.
Meanwhile, my little home town of Simsbury, CT has the - Talcott Mountain Festival - Celebrate America - Performing Arts Center at Simsbury Meadows followed by Willie Nelson & Family in concert before the Fireworks begin.
How the He11 can a Town, any Town, in this USA have NOTHING planned?
So, I'm interested... Is your town providing some sort of festivities or are they offering NOTHING.

Here in Northern NJ, many towns have fireworks, some are free to attend, some are not. Always a good show if you're into that, people in this area can aloso go to Hoboken and watch the fireworks in NYC....
Willie Nelson still doing concerts? Wonder how he sounds today, I would think he is past 80 years old, glad to hear he still has most of his voice....

Maybe the people of Oniontown are afraid that a Independence Day celebration would bring out all the witches again...

Fireworks and a concert in my tiny town of Big Sky, MT. Plus, there are activities all day long for the kids and a 5k run for everyone. We have a large park area and everything takes place around there. Lots of touristos so the town swells up.

You might want to rethink attending that 4th of July celebration ..for two reasons
1.) Federal authorities have warned local law enforcement officials across the country about a heightened concern involving possible terror attacks targeting the July 4th holiday..
2.) Harvard has released a study that say's Fourth of July celebrations tend to turn people into Republicans and help advance the GOP in elections.
