i saw this on twitter: 

Bookies say if Leicester win PL title then 5000-1 will be longest odds on any successful single event (not accumulator), any genre, ever.


how many of you guys bet them to win the EPL before the season?

i heard vanzack only had a grand on it.  anyone else?

I'd only believe it until someone posts their ticket.  No one saw this coming.  

What a story!  Jamie Vardy is something else.  Talk about a late bloomer.

someone said they were at +180 maybe 4 weeks ago.  i was going to jump on it but i couldn't find it. 

i imagine there are some people out there with a small preseason ticket for fun but i haven't seen anything yet.

I'd bet there are plenty of Guiness drunk homers in Leicester who threw 5 pounds on it preseason

There was a Leicester fan who stuck £50 on them pre-season but he cashed out a month or two ago for £70 k, He will miss out on £180 k but i suppose for a wild shot in the dark punt on your team, £70 k is not a bad return.

Not bad at all. 

My biggest single event win was 2006 WC Italy at 8-1 odds.

Won 4k

My biggest win was a 7 team parley off of a $500 bet that won me around 7.2K.

That would be sweet to win that much loot on Leicester

That certainly crossed my mind.  A team that appeared to be doing everything the right way, strayed from the good path, and the world may be angry. 

And, yes, there were so many LCFC tickets out there that the bookies were offering cash-outs some time ago.  Good on them.  I hope they win.  It's good that, if they don't, Spurs will, and that would be ok too.

tottenham garbage the bed last week but i'm hoping they come through tomorrow because it'll be much more exciting to see leicester win it at home next week rather than on a monday when they aren't playing.

I couldn't agree with you more.  It would be a little anti-climactic for them to win today.

Fix the match so they win it this weekend
