Lightning strikes from the ground up, not the top down as some people might know. Positive negative charges climb a ladder and then you have a zap. The surface of that church is exactly what lightning searches for...... right angles on high surfaces..

3,4,5 x wouldn't be a big shocker. Airplanes get lit repeatedly all the time.

That boy&#x27;s camera caught the scene of that lightning strike at the perfect time. Not all of the lightning hit the ground, majority of them are cloud-to cloud lightning which do not touch the ground.

No but lightning charge does search for a ground that has a high signature.. Golfers hide under trees when a storm hits. You cannot possibly hide in a more dangerous kill zone.. Stay out in the open.

Certainly, golfers neither hide under trees nor stay in the fairway when there is lightning near the course. Better go inside of the club house, i read somewhere that Lee Trevino long ago was once struck by the lightning while playing golf.

Not sure any major golf equipment manufacture companies are making 1-iron anymore, that stick is certainly the hardest SOB to hit.
